Christina Aguilera Files Trademark Application for Metaverse and NFT

Christina Aguilera, the renowned pop star known for hits like “Genie in a Bottle” and “Toxic,” has submitted a trademark application for NFTs and Metaverse-related activities to the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Her aim is to create downloadable multimedia files containing audio, text, and videos related to music and performing arts. These files are intended to be authenticated using NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens).

Christina Aguilera Steps into the Metaverse

In addition to multimedia products, Christina Aguilera is also planning to delve into various digital textile products, including hats, shoes, glasses, and a range of beauty products.

Furthermore, Aguilera is considering hosting musical performances online.

Aguilera first rose to fame with her album released in the late 1990s. Her debut album achieved 14 million sales and topped numerous charts.

In the 2000s, she released several successful albums, including “Striped” and “Back to Basics,” but her career saw a decline post-2010.

Now at 41, the artist might be looking to make a comeback by venturing into the Metaverse and creating NFT content.

This move comes around a month after another pop star, Miley Cyrus, also filed a trademark application for Metaverse and NFTs.
